Birthday Celebration with Batang K
... Racquel Malangen, a breast cancer survivor, wished to thank God for having survived an ordeal which could have ended her life too soon. But she was able to recover from her life-threatening condition after undergoing painful chemotherapy sessions. She has come to a full remission and, since then, dedicated her life to the service of indigent patients, mostly, children. A celebration held in a simple room at a building along E. Rodriguez Ext., Quezon City last Nov 17, Saturday, was attended by the Kapuso Foundation, Concordia Services, and the Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko Foundation cancer children afflicted with acute lymphocytic leukemia.
Give love on Christmas day ...
People do make lists for buying special gifts for loved ones during Christmas season. But it’s not always the case with the poor who cannot even afford to have a meal for the day …indigent…poverty-stricken...deprived....
Helping the poor is not limited to giving anything that is material. It could be in a form of sharing one’s time, or talent, or effort, or just the presence could be enough to lift up someone’s spirit.
Christmas is ....
Christmas is viewed, traditionally, as a time for sharing the spirit of love and the giving of what we have to the less fortunate. It’s a very rare occasion of realization when the gift-giving comes from children. In the picture, the Batang K receive special gifts from kids who are younger than them.
